ANEXIA wins Austrian and Carinthian Export Award

Written on June 4, 2014 by Maria Gröchenig

During the last days, we almost couldn’t stay calm on our office chairs, because we got to know that we’re shortlisted for the Austrian and the Carinthian Export-Prize a few weeks ago.

And then it came blow on blow. We were the ones to lift the coveted trophies at the two wonderfully organized events – full of pride.

In particular moments like these prove that even a quite young company with its business location in Carinthia can succeed in drawing attention to itself, both nationally and internationally.

Anyway, we want to warmly thank all of our staff once again. Every trophy and certificate in the conference room belongs to you and can be sighted or petted at any time. They shall show you what we have already accomplished and also fill you with a little bit of pride. THANK YOU!

Official press release:

Press release: ANEXIA awarded with the Austrian Export-Prize

Carinthian IT company asserts itself against strong competition and wins in the category “information and consulting”.

Vienna. Carinthian companies prove that they can succeed on the global market again and again. The internet provider ANEXIA is an example for that and therefor was awarded with the Austrian Export-Prize in the category “information and consulting” on Tuesday evening. Alexander Windbichler, founder and CEO of ANEXIA, rejoices: “After the Carinthian victory at the Carinthian Export-Prize three weeks ago, we now won throughout Austria too.”

ANEXIA could convince the jury in particular with its global positioning. 55 percent of the export sales are still earned in Germany. The company can refer to enormous increases in turnover and the expansion is going on unabatedly: In addition to the 47 server locations of ANEXIA’s World Wide Cloud (WWC), ten more are added this year. Therewith, the global infrastructure of the Carinthian company can compete with the Big Boys in the internet.

Windbichler sees the taken risk rewarded: “We invested a lot of time and money in building up our infrastructure. Our long-term commitment has turned out worthwhile.”

“In our business, it’s crucial to be able to offer the shortest distance. We have to be close to our customers, who want to offer the best possible service to their endusers in turn”, Windbichler explains. Only by this, extremely short response times of websites or very fast downloads are possible in the first place. ANEXIA and its World Wide Cloud (WWC) are appreciated by more than 200 renowned customers from all over the world for their high European quality standard, which represents an advantage in comparison with the local competition right from the beginning.

Also the recent successful nomination for the “Cloud Services and Infrastructure Award” proves that ANEXIA can be on a par with the international competition. Even if ANEXIA failed at this award in London, it shows that the Carinthians are “on the radar” over and above the borders of Austria.

About the company:

At the moment, ANEXIA occupies more than 60 employees at the locations Klagenfurt, Vienna, Cologne, Munich and New York City. The company was founded in 2006. Apart from Cloud solutions for major concerns, even managed hosting and software development services (mobile apps and web solutions) are offered. ANEXIA is certified according to the highest standards of ISO 27001 as well as ISO 9001 and received the very good credit rating of 191 from Creditreform.
